Entertainers Celebrates DJ Jimmy Jatt

It was a gathering of all those who matters in Nigeria's entertainment industry last Sunday as personalities from different walks of life gathered at Intercontinental Hotel in Lagos at the public presentation of iconic DJ Jimmy JATT's biography.



Davido, Kcee, Tu Face, Banky W, Juliet Ibrahim are some of the entertainers who not only came but also supported Dj Jimmy Jatt by donating during the launching of his biography, 'Avant Garde: The Cool DJ Jimmy JATT Story, a first in the Nigerian music industry, was written by the duo of Toni Kan and Peju Akande.

Jimmy Amu, popularly known as Cool Dj Jimmy Jatt is a renowned Disc Jockey who is known for setting the pace for Hip hop music in the country and beyond.

Formerly known as Master J, Dj Jimmy Jatt came into the music industry as a rapper with lot of demos but after a fruitless search getting a record label to support him, he started deejaying with the support of his brothers.

The stage name Dj Jimmy Jatt came in honour from the initials of his brothers who long passed on the touch to him. He developed an interest in Hip hop and rap at an early age and grew up listening to a lot of rap albums from the late 70's.ar

The first single 'Stylee' featuring Tu Face Idibia, Modenine and Elajoe was heavily successful, enjoying heavy airplay and the music video staying on the MTV Africa countdown for weeks while earning him several Channel O Africa Music Video Award, Hip hop World Award, SoundCity Music Video Award, Nigerian Music Video Award, Nigerian Music Award nominations to mention a few.

Cool Dj Jimmy Jatt has a T.V programme called 'Jimmy's Jump Off' currently airing on local and international stations. He has groomed many talents.
